Aliyev is in Ankara! President Erdoğan positively welcomed Azerbaijan's Friendship Group initiative, which does not recognize the TRNC.

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who is on an official visit to Ankara, was received by President Erdogan at the Presidential Complex.

SITUATION IN KARABAKH

The meeting discussed the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the massacres carried out by Israel in Gaza, the reconstruction activities in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, and regional and global issues.

President Erdogan stated during the meeting that Turkey is closely following the process of the withdrawal of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces from Karabakh and expressed his appreciation for the reconstruction and rehabilitation activities in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from the occupation of Armenia.

PALESTINE ISSUE

President Erdogan stated that Israel continues its genocide practices in Palestine, especially in Gaza, and emphasized that Israel's crimes not only threaten regional security but also global security. He highlighted that the establishment of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital is the permanent solution and called for international pressure on Israel to achieve this.

STEP TAKEN BY THE AZERBAIJAN PARLIAMENT FOR THE TRNC

President Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the decision to establish the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the Azerbaijani National Assembly and stated that the invitation of President Ersin Tatar to the Turkic Council Summit to be held in Shusha in July strengthens the Cyprus cause.

Erdogan thanked Aliyev for the invitations to the Climate Summit to be held in Azerbaijan and assured him that Turkey will provide all kinds of support during the preparation process. He also mentioned that significant activities will be carried out within the framework of the Zero Waste Project, under the patronage of Emine Erdogan, at the summit.
