It has emerged that Fenerbahçe's former star Allan Saint-Maximin rejected a €26 million offer for Helios, the card game he created.
French winger Allan Saint-Maximin, who also wore the Fenerbahçe jersey for a time, made headlines with his extraordinary off-field investment and the jaw-dropping offer he received.
THE CARD GAME ATTRACTED ATTENTION
The 29-year-old footballer, who currently wears the jersey of MLS side Charlotte, developed a card game called "Helios" inspired by Greek mythology, and it caught the attention of a major company.
HUGE 26 MILLION EURO OFFER
According to a report in The Athletic, a company that wanted to buy the game, which is offered free of charge, offered Saint-Maximin exactly 26 million euros. However, the talented footballer turned down this enormous offer, stating that he wanted to continue developing his project himself.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ABOUT MONEY
Speaking about why he rejected the astronomical offer, Saint-Maximin said, "This project is absolutely not about money. The point is to create something from scratch and be able to offer people new opportunities."
SEASON PERFORMANCE
Saint-Maximin, who signed for America's Charlotte team in July, has recorded 2 goals and 4 assists in 15 matches he has played in MLS this season.
