US President Donald Trump made an open threat to Iran at a press conference at the White House. Claiming that they had established full control in the Strait of Hormuz with 18 losses in 7 months, Trump said, "I don't want to destroy the rest of the country if possible. But I may have to do it. You will learn soon." Trump also said that a major agreement between Russia and Ukraine that could cover all of Europe is near.
U.S. President Donald Trump, recalling that thousands of U.S. soldiers were lost in the Vietnam War, claimed that his administration was able to secure control in the Strait of Hormuz with only 18 losses.
At a press conference at the White House, Trump made statements on Iran, the Russia-Ukraine War, and a possible ceasefire.
CLAIM OF 18 LOSSES IN HORMUZ
Answering questions about Iran, Trump said, “We have been there for 7 months, we have lost 18 lives, and we have full control over the region.”

Noting that there have been low-scale clashes between them and the Tehran administration, Trump said, “They can occasionally fire a rocket. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comes at us, hits a metal object and ricochets, or most of the time we shoot it down. Yes, we shoot it down; but no one has lost their life for a long time.”
Saying that Iran had spilled a great deal of American blood for years, Trump assessed, “They were the side that started the war. They probably started it in 1979. Yes, everything started then.”
Regarding whether they would go further against Iran, Trump said, “I do not want to destroy the rest of the country if possible. But perhaps I may have to do it. You will find out soon.”
Sharing the view that rebuilding Iran would take 25 years, Trump said, “If we need to handle the rest of the Iran issue, we are fully ready and alert.”
SIGNAL OF A BIG DEAL FOR RUSSIA-UKRAINE
Trump stated that there would soon be a “big deal” between Russia and Ukraine that would also cover all of Europe.
U.S. President Trump said, “This will be a big deal and it will not be limited to Ukraine. I could even say it might cover all of Europe. It will be a big and great deal. Everyone will be very satisfied.”
Claiming that they are “very close” to resolving the war between Russia and Ukraine, Trump recalled that there had been a great loss of life on both sides and described the situation as “a total bloodbath.”
