It was claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP General Chairmanship seat with an absolute nullity decision, plans to lift the immunity of 9 MPs, including Özgür Özel. It was learned that Kılıçdaroğlu replied to claims that he considers İlhan Kesici as a presidential candidate by saying, "It is not a current issue at the moment. Our priority is the processes related to the party."
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu gave his first statement after the evacuation of the CHP Headquarters to TGRT News Ankara Representative Fatih Atik. Atik stated that Kılıçdaroğlu's team was in dialogue with the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Presidency and that the Parliament Presidency said, concerning Özgür Özel, who was elected CHP Group Chair, "This Group Chairmanship is invalid." Atik noted that criminal cases are expected to conclude this summer and said, "What will happen to the immunity files of the nine CHP deputies named in the same case? I think Kılıçdaroğlu will not stand in the way. The immunities of these individuals, including Özel, will be lifted."

Atik, the TGRT Representative who drew attention with his reports in this process, such as announcing the "absolute nullity" decision before its publication, recounted Kılıçdaroğlu's statements and his impressions as follows: "What Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu is doing is a matter of curiosity. There are very harsh words directed at him from Özel supporters, such as 'He cannot go out on the street.' I went to Kılıçdaroğlu's house. He kindly and politely welcomed me. I saw him as quite ready, focused on work, calm, and serene. His voice has improved. His phone never stops ringing. He has constant visitors. A press corps is waiting at his door. Bülent Kuşoğlu was also at the house. I think Kuşoğlu will become the Deputy Chairman responsible for Financial Affairs. Because he was on duty in Kılıçdaroğlu's last Central Executive Board (MYK). He is also a finance background, meticulous person, and Kılıçdaroğlu's old comrade.

I asked Kılıçdaroğlu about the events at the Headquarters: 'It's happening for the first time in CHP history; deputies are not being let in. This shows what the intention is. Why are you harming the party? They broke tables, chairs, everything. These are not things befitting CHP. On Saturday, I will be at the Headquarters and address the party members. CHP has the strength and historical experience to overcome all these difficulties. The party's organizations consist of this country's patriotic people. He will convene the Party Assembly on Monday. He will determine the MYK, i.e., the Deputy Chairpersons. There is no clearer name yet. However, news emerged that Ali Öztunç and Gürsel Erol refused the offered position. I asked Kılıçdaroğlu's team about this and received the answer, 'There is no offer to be refused. The names are not even determined yet. Kılıçdaroğlu is evaluating.' The same applies to the presidential candidate. The name İlhan Kesici was mentioned.
