HEAVY ALLEGATIONS IN THE PROSECUTOR'S FILE
According to information from sources at the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Haluk Levent was detained on charges of "Laundering of proceeds from crime (Money laundering)", "Establishing and managing an organized crime group", and "Violation of the Associations Law."
One of the most serious allegations in the investigation file concerns the fate of donations collected during the earthquake period. According to the claim, especially the aid made to the Ahbap Association during the earthquake process was irregularly transferred to personal bank accounts.
STRIKING "GAMBLING BARON" ALLEGATION
As the legal process continues, successive allegations suggest that the scope of the investigation may be much deeper. Journalist Sinan Burhan stated that Haluk Levent had partnered with gambling baron Veysel Şahin.
Burhan alleged, "He supposedly had a partnership with a gambling baron named Veysel Şahin. Additionally, according to information I received, he also had his own gambling company and was partners with a famous name."
