The famous figure of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away at the age of 79 in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a while. Ferdi Tayfur had undergone a kidney transplant from his son in Antalya in 2020. On December 19, the master artist thanked his doctor in front of the camera, saying, "I am very good." The master artist passed away in the hospital where he was being treated due to organ failure in the evening hours. The statement indicated that Ferdi Tayfur died due to "liver and kidney failure."
