The famous figure of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away at the age of 79 in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a while. Following the death news that saddened the art world, details of the master artist's will emerged.

HE SAID "I'M VERY GOOD" BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN

Ferdi Tayfur was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Antalya. Living in the Marmaris district of Muğla, Ferdi Tayfur fell ill on December 15 and was hospitalized. Later, upon the request of his family, he was transferred to Antalya. The artist underwent a sinus surgery in Antalya. His treatment continued at the same hospital afterward. During the monitoring period, the artist's condition did not improve. Ferdi Tayfur had undergone a kidney transplant from his son in Antalya in 2020. On December 19, the master artist thanked his doctor in front of the camera, saying, "I am very good." The master artist passed away in the hospital where he was being treated due to organ failure in the evening hours.

An explanation regarding the cause of death was made by the hospital where Ferdi Tayfur passed away. The statement indicated that Ferdi Tayfur died due to "liver and kidney failure."

It was revealed that Ferdi Tayfur, who saddened his fans with his death, had bequeathed that no copyright be taken from his songs after his death. In a statement regarding the matter, the master artist said, "While I am alive and even after I die, I want everyone to be able to listen to my songs without paying. Because those songs were not made by my children or my heirs. I made those songs for the people to hear and benefit from."
