The conversations regarding the portrayal of a premeditated murder in Ümraniye as a suicide were uncovered during an operation against new-generation criminal organizations. Simultaneous raids were conducted on 5 addresses related to the incident.
In a video recording found on the mobile phone of a person captured within the scope of an investigation into next-generation criminal organizations, it was determined that a meeting was held regarding the 'intentional killing' incident in Ümraniye being portrayed as a 'suicide' in exchange for 4 million lira. As part of the investigation, simultaneous operations were conducted at 5 addresses.
THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IN ÜMRANIYE ON DECEMBER 1, 2025
Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes', 'being a member of an established criminal organization', and 'influence peddling', an examination was conducted on the mobile phone of O. E., who was captured in an operation targeting next-generation criminal organizations. In a video recording obtained during the examination, it was determined that a video call was made regarding the alteration of the 'intentional killing' incident that occurred in Ümraniye on December 1, 2025, into a 'suicide' in exchange for 4 million lira, and conducting the investigation accordingly.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION AT 5 ADDRESSES
In the operations carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Police Department Public Order Branch Directorate Robbery Bureau Office, it was determined that 3 of the 7 suspects identified as being connected to the incident were imprisoned for other crimes. For the apprehension of the other 4 suspects, simultaneous operations were conducted at 5 addresses in the morning hours. A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated.
