The incident, which occurred at dawn in the Ali İhsan Paşa neighborhood of Afyonkarahisar, sent shockwaves through the legal community. According to allegations, lawyer Gökhan Katırcı suspected a relationship between his wife, from whom he had been in the process of divorcing for some time, and his colleague, lawyer U.Ç. Wanting to confront this alleged "forbidden love," Katırcı went to his colleague U.Ç.'s office at dawn.
The confrontation that began in the office between the two lawyers quickly turned into a heated argument. After initial medical intervention at the office, the wounded lawyer Gökhan Katırcı was taken to the hospital by ambulance and underwent surgery. It was announced that Katırcı, whose treatment is ongoing, was not in life-threatening condition.
LAWYER WHO SHOT HIS COLLEAGUE WAS ARRESTED
The perpetrator, lawyer U.Ç., was apprehended by police teams along with the firearm used in the crime and taken into custody. After completing procedures at the police station, lawyer U.Ç. was referred to the courthouse to appear before the prosecutor.
Lawyer U.Ç., referred to the duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest, was arrested.
