İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, who joined the AK Party and started a new era in İzmir's administration, announced the Gulf tube crossing mega project that will provide uninterrupted metro transportation from Mavişehir to Gaziemir.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay joined the AK Party, signing an important political step in the city's history. After joining, Tugay appeared live on TRT Haber and announced his mega projects that will deeply affect İzmir's traffic and transportation infrastructure.
RAILWAY TUBE PASSAGE PROJECT IS COMING TO THE GULF
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay shared details of the railway tube passage project to be built between Karşıyaka and Konak. Noting that the line passing under the Gulf aims to provide uninterrupted metro transportation from Mavişehir to Gaziemir, Tugay emphasized that the project, with its Üçyol connection, would connect the city's transportation network from end to end.
"PRIORITY FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION"
Addressing the technical structure and necessity of the project, Tugay said, "It is the same structure as Marmaray, but in our case it is a somewhat easier construction. Doing this is a priority for public transportation. We have received a positive response from our Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for the cleaning of İzmir Gulf, which has been neglected for years, and for these projects. In this period, the Gulf will be cleaned much faster."
"I UNDERSTOOD THAT THE BEST POLITICS IS SERVICE"
Tugay, who joined the AK Party ranks at a ceremony held in recent days and had his badge pinned by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had made striking statements regarding his decision: "Every İzmir resident knows that the politician who sincerely embraces the Republic is the one who works to be the guardian of those with no one. I am in your presence today... Under this roof, which I joined with belief and trust, I have come among you for a great and strong Turkey under the leadership of our President, and for a nation freed from polarization. I came to win hearts. With the leadership of our President and the valuable support of the AK Party family, we are setting out to lift İzmir up and, as it were, rebuild our city."
