Turkey is preparing to take an important step in rapidly advancing technology. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that a $2 billion investment package will be unveiled next month. Kacır stated that another automotive giant will open a factory in Turkey, adding, "We are also in talks with Chery and other similar brands with this understanding."

The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, stated that this year they will rapidly connect Turkey with many significant investments, ranging from biotechnology to industrial robots.

Explaining their targets for 2025, Kacır said, "We have reached the stage of bringing nearly 7 billion dollars in investments to Turkey. God willing, next month we will announce an investment package of over 2 billion dollars, which is the first phase of this."

"WE ARE A PRODUCTION BASE"

Kacır noted that Turkey's high-tech production and export capacity will increase significantly in 2025, stating, "We are a true production base. Our goal is to elevate these production capabilities to a higher level with investments in high-tech areas and more value-added products."

Pointing out that there are investments in the final stage, Kacır said, "We want leading technology brands to choose Turkey as an investment location, to conduct R&D, production, and export from Turkey to the world. We brought the BYD investment to Turkey with this understanding. We are also negotiating with other brands like Chery with this approach," he added. Kacır mentioned that new Turcorns could emerge as some technology startups prefer to receive investments.
