Former referee Ali Palabıyık made striking statements about Galatasaray. He stated that his refereeing career ended due to the red card decision he made in the Alanyaspor-Galatasaray match, saying, "I'm saying this because I was the last one to show it. Former referee Ali Palabıyık made headlines with his statements regarding Galatasaray. Moreover, Ali Palabıyık expressed that Galatasaray has not received a red card for a long time and made striking statements. Palabıyık's remarks are as follows:
"Galatasaray is currently on edge. They haven't received a red card for a long time, and because of this, their rival Fenerbahçe brings it up with a statement before or after every match. A referee like Kabak will face the consequences.
A non-existent red card... The one that exists will also happen to me, like it did last time. I say this because I was the one who showed it. I showed it, and my refereeing career ended. Now, I don't know if my colleagues are not showing cards because of that, but they should start showing the very obvious ones."
These words of Ali Palabıyık became a hot topic on social media.

Palabıyık, in a program he attended, stated that he was wrong regarding the mentioned position, saying, "After showing a red card to Sacha Boey in the Galatasaray-Alanyaspor match, the 4th referee Erkan Özdamar told me 'Yellow card,' and I said to him, 'Erkan, I think it's a red card; the player has a chance to score.'
