Rising Brent oil prices and exchange rate movements, driven by US-Iran tensions, have been reflected at fuel pumps. With this new increase, the liter price of diesel rose to 82.58 TL in Istanbul, while reaching 85.57 TL in eastern provinces.
Following the rise in Brent oil and the exchange rate, fuel prices have been updated once again. As of midnight, there was a 2.92 TL increase in the price of diesel per liter. With the new increase, the liter price of diesel has exceeded 85 liras in some provinces.
International fluctuations in energy markets continue to be reflected as increases at fuel pumps. The collapse of the agreement between the USA and Iran and the impact of rising tension in the region, which caused Brent oil prices to climb again, directly affected domestic fuel prices.
EXCHANGE RATE AND OIL ROSE, THE INCREASE BECAME INEVITABLE
According to information obtained from industry sources; as of Saturday, August 22, there was a price increase of 2.92 TL in the diesel group. The increase was influenced by the Brent oil barrel price approaching the $93 level, the rise in the ton price of diesel in international markets, and the movement in the exchange rate.
