The Ministry of National Defense stated, "A ballistic ammunition fired from Iran and entering Turkish airspace has been neutralized by NATO air and missile defense elements deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean." Recently, an Iranian missile was also shot down in the skies over Hatay and Gaziantep.
A missile fired from Iran was destroyed in Turkish airspace.
In a statement made by the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), the following was stated: "A ballistic ammunition fired from Iran and entering Turkish airspace has been neutralized by NATO air and missile defense elements stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean."
"DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD WITH THE RELEVANT COUNTRY TO CLARIFY THE INCIDENT" All necessary measures are being taken decisively and without hesitation against any threats directed at our country's territory and airspace, and discussions are being held with the relevant country to clarify all aspects of the incident.
With national security prioritized, all developments in the region are being closely monitored and evaluated."
Ballistic ammunition shot down in Hatay 3RD MISSILE FROM IRAN On the other hand; missiles fired from Iran were shot down on March 4 in Hatay and on March 9 in Gaziantep airspace. The reaction and concerns of Turkey were conveyed to Iran's Ambassador to Ankara, Mohammad Hasan Habibullahzade, who was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the ballistic ammunition.
