In the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, a 20% increase in public transportation fares was accepted by a majority vote. On the Marmaray and suburban lines, existing passenger fares were increased by 25.49%.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council discussed the fare increase for public transportation in Istanbul. A 20% increase was proposed during the discussions.

The proposal for a 20% increase in public transportation fares was accepted by a majority vote in the IMM Council. A 25.49% increase was applied to the current passenger fares on Marmaray and suburban lines.
SUBSCRIPTION FEE EXCEEDS 3 THOUSAND LIRA
The electronic full ticket increased from 35 lira to 42 lira with a 20% increase, while the monthly subscription fee for the "Blue Card" was raised from 2,748 lira to 3,298 lira.
In public transportation vehicles with a double ticket application, the single ticket price has risen to 84 TL. The student ticket is set at 20.50 TL, while the first transfer fee will be applied at 31.27 TL. A single journey ticket will be sold for 60 TL, a 10-journey ticket for 480 TL, and a 12-journey ticket for 580 TL.
INCREASE IN MARMARAY AS WELL
With the tariff change regarding passenger transport services on the Gebze-Halkalı Marmaray, Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı, and Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme suburban lines operated by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, there was a 25.49% increase in the revaluation rate. The fare for the longest distance on Marmaray has been raised to 75 TL.
On Marmaray, the full fare will start at 34 TL for 1–7 stations and will rise to 74.70 TL for 36–43 stations. On the Gayrettepe–Istanbul Airport–Halkalı metro line, the fare will be 34 TL for 1–3 stations, 43.54 TL for 7–8 stations, and 66.54 TL for 15–16 stations.
