The 23-year-old Turkish left winger Aral Şimşir, who plays for Midtjylland, has been named "Player of the Year" in the Danish Super League.

According to a statement from the club, Aral Şimşir, who received more than 38 percent of a total of 269 votes from players, was chosen as "Player of the Year" by the Danish Players' Association for the 2025-2026 Super League season.
HE RECEIVED 38.3 PERCENT OF 269 VOTES
The Danish Players' Association (Spillerforeningen) selects the best players based on a combination of performance and profile, defining the "best" player as a combination of technical ability, mental strength, leadership, and professional conduct. The association's statement said: "31 matches, 9 goals, and 15 assists. These are just a few of Aral Şimşir's statistics in this year's Super League. Şimşir managed to make a name for himself among his colleagues and rivals in the league with the high level he displayed throughout the year and many great performances."
The Players' Association visited all 12 teams in the Super League and allowed each footballer to cast one vote. Aral Şimşir received 38.3 percent of a total of 269 votes.

Aral Şimşir commented: "This means an incredible amount to me. It's different when players vote for you. It's great that other players recognize you, and I will always be grateful and happy for this."
