Mohamed Boulakhrif, described as one of Morocco's biggest drug barons and internationally wanted with a "Red Notice," was caught in an operation by MIT and Istanbul Narcotics teams in Şişli. The suspect, reported to have used encrypted communication applications, is still undergoing procedures at the police department.

Moroccan drug trafficker Mohamed Boulakhrif, wanted internationally through a "Diffusion Message," was caught in an operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Istanbul Police Department’s Narcotics Crime Prevention Branch teams in Şişli.

According to obtained information, upon a tip that Mohamed Boulakhrif, described as one of Morocco's biggest drug barons, was in Istanbul, MIT and narcotics teams launched an operation. Following technical and physical surveillance, the address where the suspect was staying was identified.

OPERATION IN ŞIŞLI

In a raid on the address where he was hiding in Şişli, the Moroccan suspect was taken into custody. Boulakhrif, who was reported to be involved in drug trafficking and using encrypted communication apps to conceal his activities, was taken to the police station for questioning. It was learned that investigations regarding the 34-year-old suspect, who had a recorded search via a "Diffusion Message," are ongoing.

WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE REPATRIATION CENTER

It was stated that the suspect, whose police procedures continue, will be handed over to the Repatriation Center affiliated with the Provincial Immigration Administration after his questioning is completed.
