With Arda Güler making his 100th appearance in a Real Madrid jersey, Fenerbahçe earned an additional 2 million euros, bringing the total revenue to 28 million euros.
In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoff, Real Madrid defeated Benfica 2-1 at home, securing their place in the last 16. Arda Güler, who played for 84 minutes in the match, made his 100th appearance in the purple-white jersey.
100TH MATCH, 2 MILLION EUROS
With Arda Güler's 100th official match, the bonus clause in his contract was activated again. The young footballer's participation in the match against Benfica allowed Fenerbahçe to earn an additional 2 million euros.
TOTAL 28 MILLION EUROS
In the summer of 2023, Fenerbahçe sold Arda Güler to Real Madrid for a transfer fee of 20 million euros and up to 10 million euros in bonuses. So far, the yellow-navy team has earned 8 million euros from bonuses, bringing their total revenue to 28 million euros.
If the national player plays 25 more matches, the remaining 2 million euros bonus will also be activated, bringing the total bonus amount to 10 million euros. Thus, the total transfer fee will reach 30 million euros. Furthermore, according to the contract, Fenerbahçe will also receive a 20% share from Arda Güler's next sale.
