SECURITY TEAMS SEEN ON STAGE
During the live broadcast, shortly after the meal service began, voices rose as Trump's security teams appeared on stage with long-barreled weapons. Guests panicked and tried to protect themselves by hiding under tables.
RUSHED OUT OF THE HALL AT BREAKNECK SPEED

30-YEAR-OLD ASSAILANT “NEUTRALIZED”
It was stated that the assailant, carrying multiple magazines, a long-barreled rifle, a handgun, and numerous knives, opened fire at the security screening point and was “neutralized” by security personnel. US media reported that the assailant was a 30-year-old man. The US President shared a photo of the assailant taken after his capture on his social media account.
TRUMP: SECRET SERVICE DID A GREAT JOB
After the incident, President Trump announced on his social media account that the assailant was caught. Trump said: "The Secret Service and law enforcement did a great job. They acted quickly and courageously. The assailant was caught, and I recommended 'let the show go on,' but we will fully follow law enforcement's guidance. They will make a decision shortly. Whatever that decision is, tonight will be very different from what was planned, and we will have to start over from scratch."
“WE WILL NOT LET THEM TAKE OVER OUR SOCIETY”
Shortly after, Donald Trump made another statement, saying he would hold a press conference at the White House within 30 minutes. Speaking before cameras at the White House, President Trump said that a Secret Service agent was hit by gunfire at close range but survived thanks to a bulletproof vest.
"I DON'T THINK THE ATTACK WAS RELATED TO THE WAR"
Calling the assailant, who resides in California, “extremely ill” and “crazy,” Trump said, “We will not let them take over our society.” In response to a question, the US President stated that he did not think the attack was related to the Iran war.
SAME HOTEL AFTER 45 YEARS
It was noted that the building where the incident occurred was the Washington Hilton hotel, where former US President Ronald Reagan was shot on his way out on March 30, 1981.
