A gun attack was carried out on an association belonging to a church in Çekmeköy on New Year's Eve.

An armed attack was carried out on the association of the Kurtuluş Church in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, just hours before the New Year. The assailant, who arrived in a car, fired shots at the association building. It was revealed that the same church was attacked last year, and there were attempts to dismantle the billboards on the road.

According to a report on Ekol Tv, the assailant, reacting to the New Year's celebrations, said, "We will not allow you to brainwash our Muslim youth! O infidels, you will be defeated and gathered to be driven into hell." The bullet, aimed directly at the association from the car, pierced the iron shutter and glass, hitting the wall.
