Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who went to the polls in the general elections held in Armenia, made statements closely concerning regional countries after casting his vote. Pashinyan, expressing satisfaction that they are in a peace process with Azerbaijan, said he expects the establishment of diplomatic relations with Turkey and the opening of borders.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, after casting his vote in the general elections, delivered critical messages that will open the door to a new era in regional politics. Stating that the elections will reflect the will of the Armenian people, Pashinyan painted an optimistic picture of normalization processes with neighboring countries and regional economic projects.

"I AM CONFIDENT THAT THE PEOPLE WILL WIN"

Emphasizing that his main expectation for the election process is that the free will of citizens is reflected at the ballot box, Prime Minister Pashinyan stated that regardless of the outcome, the winner will be Armenia. Touching on the importance of democracy in his statement to journalists, the Armenian leader said:

"I am confident that the people will win. This is not a personal matter. My expectation is that the citizens of Armenia will win. I believe democracy always works in favor of regional and international cooperation. Democracy is an important tool for regional peace."

MESSAGE OF A NEW ERA WITH ANKARA AND BAKU

Devoting a significant part of his speech to relations with neighboring countries, Pashinyan made important emphases on the diplomatic processes with Azerbaijan and Turkey. Describing relations with Georgia as "deep and brotherly," Pashinyan spoke about the Ankara and Baku lines as follows:

"Currently, fortunately, we are at peace with Azerbaijan. And of course, I expect normalization of relations with Turkey and the establishment of diplomatic relations."

Pashinyan also added that he is confident that in the near future, the borders with Turkey, as well as railway and road connections, will be mutually opened.

"CROSSROADS OF PEACE" THAT WILL BRING GREAT BENEFIT TO 5 COUNTRIES

Referring to the Armenian government's strategic move aimed at making the region a logistics center, the Prime Minister argued that the "Crossroads of Peace" project will change geographical balances. Stating that the project will revitalize not only the east-west axis but also the north-south corridor, Pashinyan concluded his message with these words:

"The Crossroads of Peace project can change the situation in the region. It will benefit all countries in our region. This situation is very advantageous for Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran. This is extremely important."
