In Istanbul, as part of the investigation into the criminal organization led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, 6 suspects, including Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Ali Rıza Yılmaz, were detained, while another 6 suspects were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control. Five people, including Yılmaz, were arrested.
OPERATION AGAINST AZİZ İHSAN AKTAŞ'S CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION
The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues regarding the allegation that the criminal organization, allegedly led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, organized tenders by bribing mayors and senior executives of municipalities.
ARREST OF 5 PEOPLE INCLUDING BEŞİKTAŞ DEPUTY MAYOR
After the health checks of the 12 suspects detained on the allegation of tampering with tenders in the municipality by the Financial Crimes Investigation Department of the Istanbul Police Department, their statements at the prosecutor's office were completed at the courthouse they were referred to. Six suspects, including Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Yılmaz, were referred for arrest, while 6 suspects were referred to the peace criminal court with a request for judicial control. The court issued an arrest warrant for 5 people, including Yılmaz.
WHAT HAPPENED
Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that 12 municipal officials, including Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Yılmaz and Beşiktaş Municipality Private Secretary Emirhan Akçadağ, had tampered with the tenders received by the criminal organization from the municipality, and the prosecutor's office issued a detention order for the suspects based on these findings.
In the operation carried out by the Financial Crimes Investigation Department of the Istanbul Police Department, Beşiktaş Deputy Mayor Ali Rıza Yılmaz, Beşiktaş Municipality Private Secretary Emirhan Akçadağ, Support Services Director Gülal Erdovan Anıl, and other municipal employees including Director Filiz Yolsal, engineer Ali Fuat Toptaş, data preparation and control operators Ali Güvendi and Nilgün Boduk, trainer Gülşah Ocak, collector Erdal Özece, and municipal officer Bilal Ören, a member of the tender commission, as well as Beyoğlu Municipality Information Processing Director Zafer Ozan Ay and Sancaktepe Municipality Press and Publication Director Gökhan Turan were detained.
