At least 7 people lost their lives due to a collapse at a ferry dock in the state of Georgia, USA. The incident occurred during a fall festival attended by the Gullah-Geechee community.

During the autumn festival event where the Gullah-Geechee community gathered on Sapelo Island in the state of Georgia, it was reported that a ferry docking at the pier experienced a collapse, causing many people to fall into the sea.

SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE

It was stated that at least 7 people lost their lives due to the accident, many injured individuals were taken to the hospital, and search and rescue operations are still ongoing. U.S. President Joe Biden expressed his deep sorrow over the accident in a written statement and stated that he is closely monitoring the situation.
