At the Afife Awards Ceremony, Deputy General Manager of State Theaters Sükun Işıtan received the 'Best Actress' award on behalf of the play 'Medea Material'.
PROTEST AFTER THANKING TAMER KARADAĞLI
Following her speech, Işıtan thanked the General Director of State Theaters, Tamer Karadağlı. After Işıtan's thanks, which greatly supported her in addition to her duties, sounds of booing rose from the audience.

Amidst the booing, Işıtan stated, "I am an analytical thinker with the education I have received, and I am facing a group of artists who justify a scientist like Einstein: 'Breaking down prejudices is harder than splitting the atom.'"
After the protests, it was observed that many guests left the hall. Those moments were captured by the cellphone camera of one of the guests.
