In the Akyurt district of Ankara, a foreign national attacked his family members with a knife, injuring 4 people. The attacker then attempted suicide with the same knife, injuring himself. Two of the injured are in serious condition.
STABBED 4 FAMILY MEMBERS
The incident occurred in the Yeşiltepe neighborhood of Akyurt district. According to information received, a foreign national attacked his family members, with whom he lived in the same house, with a knife for an unknown reason. Upon notification by neighbors who noticed the situation, police, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The 4 injured people were taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention, and it was learned that two of them are in serious condition.
ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
It was reported that the attacker, while attempting suicide with the knife after the incident, also injured himself and was taken to the hospital. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
