The full text of Attila Szalai's statement is as follows:
"Sometimes life throws unexpected challenges at you.
I transferred to Kasımpaşa to take responsibility, give everything for the club, and lead on the field.
Everything was fine, but it changed with the arrival of a new head coach. From day one, I was held responsible for things that were not my responsibility. These were events that also happened at Fenerbahçe.
There was silence instead of open discussions. Instead of honesty, statements were made behind my back.
Without a single personal conversation, I was stripped of the captaincy, even though he had been a captain for years and knew what that role meant.
Still, I remained silent, worked respectfully, and always acted professionally.
In the end, I had to make a decision for myself; respect, honesty, and clarity are non-negotiable. That’s why it’s time for me to move on.
Thank you, Kasımpaşa.
I thank my teammates, the staff, the management, the fans, and this special city, Istanbul.
I thank all the people in the club who are honest, supportive, and humane; you made this time valuable.
I leave with my head held high, a clear conscience, and full motivation for the future."
