In response to a question about whether they would sit at the same table with any party in the event of early elections, Suat Kılıç, Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party, closed the doors to the AK Party and CHP, indicating three parties. Kılıç stated, "A coalition for elections can be formed under the leadership of New Welfare, DEVA Party, Future Party, Saadet Party, and many other parties."
Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party Suat Kılıç met with members of the press at a restaurant in Çanakkale, where he addressed the city's historical role and importance in his speech.
"IF THERE ARE NO ELECTIONS, THERE IS STILL LIVELIHOOD" Kılıç stated that as the New Welfare Party, they have been meeting with the public and organizations across Turkey with the thought that an election could happen at any moment, saying, "If there are no elections, there is still livelihood. The concern that is more important than the concern of elections is the concern of livelihood. Unfortunately, today in Turkey, the first minimum wage of the new year has fallen below the hunger threshold before it even reaches the worker's pocket."
Kılıç expressed that the social and economic conditions in Turkey necessitate early elections, stating that a lot of grievances have been created. "National Vision is a political party that brought very significant and permanent solutions to all of Turkey's deep-rooted chronic problems, from terrorism to the economy, from agriculture to national security, 30-40 years ago," Kılıç said, adding, "If the Refahyol government had not been overthrown by the 28 generals, there would not be a problem today in Turkey called the PKK issue during the prime ministership of our teacher Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan."
Kılıç stated that they are determined to walk towards the future as 86 million people united under the shadow of the Turkish flag in the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing that they will not allow division, but rather will continue to grow by uniting.
"WE HAVE NO POSSIBILITY OF BEING IN THE SAME ALLIANCE WITH THE AK PARTY AND CHP" After his speech, Kılıç answered questions from journalists, responding to a question about whether they would sit at the same table with any party in the event of early elections, saying, "Just as the AK Party government is behind Turkey's chronic problems, in a way, the Republican People's Party is also involved. Today, the AK Party is the source of the problems, and the Republican People's Party cannot be the address of the solution as the main opposition party. Unfortunately, the CHP is stuck on the agenda of the lawsuits seen in municipalities. We acknowledge that there is a great pressure from the government, we are aware of it, but the Republican People's Party cannot become an alternative hope for Turkey by getting out of this turbulence."
"A JOINT ELECTION ALLIANCE CAN BE FORMED UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF THE NEW WELFARE PARTY, DEVA PARTY, FUTURE PARTY, SAADAT PARTY, AND MANY MORE" Therefore, as the New Welfare Party, we say to our nation: Dear nation, you are not condemned to the AK Party, nor are you condemned to the Republican People's Party bloc. We can open a new path together. We can build a third way with other parties. We are ready for this. A joint election alliance can be formed under the leadership of the New Welfare Party, DEVA Party, Future Party, Saadat Party, and many more. If necessary, this alliance can turn into a coalition with other parties that share common concerns about Turkey, carry common values, and have a common vision for the future during the election campaign. As the New Welfare Party, we have no possibility of being in an alliance with the AK Party in the upcoming general elections and presidential elections, nor do we have the possibility of being in the same alliance with the Republican People's Party. We will open a new path and become the true hope and ultimate address of our nation as a third way. This is our goal."
"IF WE CAN OPEN THE THIRD WAY WITH OTHER PARTIES, WE CAN CREATE AN ALTERNATIVE THAT WILL MAKE IT TO THE SECOND ROUND IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION" Responding to the question, "Where do you see your party if there are elections across Turkey?" Kılıç stated that when they look at the number of members, their efforts, and their potential and performance in 81 provinces, they see the New Welfare Party above the election threshold, saying, "But being above the threshold is not enough; we need to create a synergy and form a very strong group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey through unity. If we can think like we do and open the third way with other parties, we can create an alternative that will make it to the second round in the presidential election."
"THE STATE MUST WAIVE TAXES COLLECTED ON THE MINIMUM WAGE" Kılıç responded to a journalist's question, "You said that the minimum wage should be at least 45 thousand lira. How do you plan to subsidize SMEs in such a case?" by saying, "We say that the gross minimum wage is already above 40 thousand lira. The state collects high taxes from the minimum wage. The state must waive the taxes collected on the minimum wage. The state must put its hand under the stone. The state must bear the burden. In other words, public finance must take responsibility. It should not leave the responsibility solely to the employer. The tax must be spread to the ceiling in Turkey."
