After the attack on the Turkish flag by supporters of the terrorist organization YPG in the Nusaybin district of Mardin, the former customs area on the border line was taken under the control of the Turkish Armed Forces. A flagpole 30 meters high was erected in the area, and a large Turkish flag was hoisted.
On January 20, supporters of the terrorist organization YPG attacked the Turkish flag at the old customs area, which is no longer in use, along the Nusaybin-Kamışlı border line.
INCLUDED WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE BORDER POST
The customs area where the attack took place has been included within the borders of the Şehit Piyade Sözleşmeli Onbaşı Faruk Gezen Border Post Command, which is the closest border unit of the Turkish Armed Forces to the region, located in Nusaybin district of Mardin.
A HUGE TURKISH FLAG HAS BEEN HOISTED ON THE FLAGPOLE
After necessary precautions were taken, a 30-meter-long flagpole was installed in the area, which is the closest point of Kamışlı city in Syria to Turkey, and a giant Turkish flag was hoisted on the flagpole.
