Australian national team footballer Tete Yengi announced he has become a Muslim.

A radical decision regarding his life came from the successful 25-year-old footballer Tete Yengi, who plays for the Australian National Team.

TETE YENGI BECAME MUSLIM

The Australian star, who plays for Scottish Championship team Livingston, announced that he has become Muslim. The striker, who drew attention with his successful performance in the tournament, chose Islam by reciting the Shahada at a mosque in Adelaide, Australia.

IT ALL STARTED WITH THAT VISIT

Describing his journey to discovering Islam, Tete Yengi stated that this decision stemmed from a coincidental mosque visit. The star footballer expressed that this visit, made to closely observe Muslims' worship and experience the mosque environment, was a turning point in his life, where he met Mufti Ismail Mink, who was delivering the Friday sermon.

HE RECITED THE SHAHADA

Sharing his dialogue with Mufti Ismail Mink in his statements to Nujum Sports, Yengi said, "He asked me if I had ever recited the Shahada before. When I said 'No,' he invited me to take a step into Islam. I accepted this sincere invitation and recited the Shahada inside the mosque."
