ERDOĞAN PINNED THE BADGE
Karakaş had announced his resignation from the İYİ Party with the words "due to the necessity I saw." On the same day, Karakaş attended the program held at the Capital National Garden for the 25th anniversary of the AK Party's founding, where he switched to the AK Party ranks. The party badge was pinned on Karakaş by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"I DID NOT CHANGE MY LINE"
Speaking to tv100 after his transition to the AK Party, Karakaş responded to the comments that he had "changed his line." Stating that his political preference does not mean he has given up his ideas, Karakaş said, "I did not change my line. I changed my party to better serve my ideas."
