Ayşegül Yıldız, the former wife of İbrahim Tatlıses, entered politics by joining the MHP. Meeting with Devlet Bahçeli at the group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Yıldız announced her decision through a post and described Bahçeli's speech as "historic and insightful."
Singer İbrahim Tatlıses and Ayşegül Yıldız, who were married between 2011-2013 and preferred to stay out of the spotlight after their divorce, have recently made headlines again with a political development.
ATTENDED THE MHP GROUP MEETING
Ayşegül Yıldız attended the MHP Group Meeting held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Yıldız, who also met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during the meeting, announced her joining the MHP ranks through a social media post.
PRAISEFUL WORDS FOR BAHÇELİ
In a video she released, Yıldız used the following statements about Devlet Bahçeli:
"We attended the TBMM Group Meeting held by our Leader, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, at our Gazi Parliament, along with our MHP Provincial Chairman Mr. Volkan Yılmaz, our MHP Provincial Organization, and our district organizations, and listened to his historical and visionary speeches. After the meeting, we had the honor of receiving our leader's blessings and greeting him."
Ayşegül Yıldız also stated that they visited Anıtkabir as part of the Ankara program.
In her post, Yıldız said, "We crowned our Ankara program by commemorating the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, 'whose ideas, line, and legacy we protect and to whose determined goal on the path he opened we remain steadfast,' at his eternal resting place Anıtkabir with prayers and renewing our promise to follow in his footsteps. We will continue to work decisively for our sacred cause and our Istanbul, united as one heart, following our leader."
