In his speech to the party group, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who stated that "Aleppo is Turkish and Muslim to its core," notably chose to wear a ring and badge inscribed with the Surah Al-Fath for today’s occasion.

Nationalist Movement Party Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made evaluations regarding the current issues in the party group. Bahçeli's ring and badge drew attention as he referred to the conflicts in Syria during his speech.

"ALEPPO IS TURKISH AND MUSLIM"

In his speech, Bahçeli stated about Aleppo, where the Turkish flag is hung on its castle, "Aleppo is Turkish and Muslim to its core. We are not the only ones saying this; history says it, geography says it, truth says it, our ancestors say it, and the Turkish flag raised on the Aleppo castle says it." He chose a badge and ring inscribed with the Conquest Surah for this occasion.

"THE ASSAD REGIME MUST COME TO ITS SENSES"

Addressing the hot conflict environment in Syria, Bahçeli stated, "We cannot pin our hopes on the shaken state structure of Syria. The Assad regime must come to its senses. It must leave behind the approach that considers the enemy as a friend. We cannot vacate the field until the YPG is finished. The diplomatic and dialogue processes between Turkey and Syria should be revitalized without any disruptive influence from third parties. There is no other alternative or way out left," he said.
