MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli harshly criticized Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel in the CHP, which has been plunged into chaos by the absolute nullity decision. Bahçeli said, "They must put their hats in front of them, make a sincere self-criticism, and try to find a solution to the problem without veiling the truth." Bahçeli also stated that both figures are taking steps that lead to division rather than producing solutions to the problem.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli evaluated the developments in CHP in his statement to Türkgün Newspaper.
Criticizing the rhetoric and attitudes of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Bahçeli said, "Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu and Mr. Özel, through their words and actions, do not present an image befitting the historical responsibility of CHP. In fact, their attitudes, stances, and the tone they use are polarizing their own sociology. Although it is time for unity, the course of the process is taking shape with concrete steps of division."
"THEY SHOULD BE PART OF THE SOLUTION, NOT THE PROBLEM"
Referring to the debates within CHP, Bahçeli stated that Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel should act solution-oriented.
Bahçeli said, "The duty falling on Mr. Özel and Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu is to put their hats before them, make a sincere self-criticism, and try to find a solution to the problem without veiling the truth. However, what has happened so far shows that division is occurring step by step rather than a search for consensus. New party names are constantly being mentioned, and new addresses are being sought."
"DIVISION IS OCCURRING STEP BY STEP"
Arguing that the ongoing process in CHP deepens the internal division, Bahçeli expressed that the emerging picture is far from consensus.
Stating that claims about new political formations are kept on the agenda, Bahçeli asserted that this further exacerbates the crisis within the party.
"THIS PATH IS NOT THE RIGHT PATH"
In his statement, Bahçeli also criticized Özgür Özel's approach to the judicial process. Emphasizing that the CHP Chairman should respect the legal process, Bahçeli said, "Mr. Özel's constant deepening of the crisis within CHP without waiting for the final decision of the Court of Cassation not only undermines the legal process but also erodes the founding values. Although Mr. Özel tries to discuss a legal issue as if it were a political matter and seeks to benefit himself by instrumentalizing events, this path is not the right path."
