MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli visited the mausoleum of the party's founding leader Alparslan Türkeş in Beştepe during the Eid al-Adha. When asked by journalists at the cemetery exit if he wanted to give a holiday message, Bahçeli replied, "We've given many. We have three holiday messages; I think those are enough. I congratulate you on your holiday."
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli visited the memorial tomb of the party's founding leader, Alparslan Türkeş, in Beştepe for Eid al-Adha. Party members accompanied Bahçeli during the visit after the Eid prayer.
HE LEFT CARNATIONS ON HIS GRAVE
After recitation from the Quran and prayers, Bahçeli placed red and white carnations on Türkeş's grave. Bahçeli also poured water on the grave with a copper jug.
During the brief prayer at the memorial tomb, Bahçeli's calm and emotional demeanor drew attention.
“WE HAVE THREE EID MESSAGES”
After the visit, when journalists asked, "Would you like to give an Eid message?", Bahçeli responded, "We have given many. We have three Eid messages, I think those are enough. I wish you a happy Eid."
