İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made striking statements after performing the Eid prayer in Ankara. Stating that there is a deep unhappiness prevailing in the country, Dervişoğlu said that citizens can no longer look to the future with hope.

Dervişoğlu, who performed the Eid prayer at Abdulkerim Kuzu Mosque in Ankara, made statements to the press after the prayer. Wishing all citizens a happy Eid al-Adha, Dervişoğlu stated that there is a great difference between past Eids and today.

“After every Eid prayer, I used to wish for Eids with the true spirit of Eid for our nation. But you will agree that each Eid makes the previous one seem better,” Dervişoğlu said, adding that besides many problems, there is a deep unhappiness in the country.

“PEOPLE CANNOT LOOK TO THE FUTURE WITH HOPE”

Stating that citizens’ faces do not smile, Dervişoğlu said, “Even on these blessed days, beauties and goodness that would enable people to nurture hope for the future are not happening.”

Reminding that in the past, abundance on tables and happiness in homes were wished during Eids, Dervişoğlu noted that today, law, justice, and democracy are being wished for.

Dervişoğlu said, “We have reached such a point that today we are wishing for law, justice, and democracy. This is a clear indication of where we have come from and where we are going.”

“LAWLESSNESS IS GETTING WORSE EVERY DAY”

Arguing that the impact of lawlessness, injustice, and lack of democracy on society is increasing day by day, Dervişoğlu said that citizens are feeling this more strongly.

Emphasizing democracy, law, and justice in his Eid message, Dervişoğlu said, “On this Eid, I wish people peace, abundance, and happiness, along with democracy, justice, and law. I also wish for good morals. I wish for a life free from slander.”

At the end of his statement, Dervişoğlu used striking expressions, saying, “I would say God is above, but we all know that God is everywhere. Therefore, I hope that those who need to take this warning seriously will, for the sake of this blessed Eid day, become a little more human.”
