The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that Iran launched a ballistic missile at Kuwait, and the missile was successfully intercepted by the Kuwaiti army. IRAN STRUCK KUWAIT WITH MISSILES

In a statement on the U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM) social media account, it was stated, "On May 27 at 22:17 Eastern Time, Iran launched a ballistic missile towards Kuwait, and the missile was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces."

CENTCOM: IRAN'S KAMIKAZE DRONES INTERCEPTED

The statement, which assessed the attack on Kuwait as a 'ceasefire violation,' noted that it occurred hours after Iran launched five kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The statement reported that the U.S. military intercepted the UAVs.

STATEMENT FROM KUWAIT

In a statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the attacks conducted from Iran violated Kuwait's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and posed a direct threat to the safety of civilians and infrastructure. The statement emphasized that Kuwait 'strongly condemns' the attacks carried out by Iran with missiles and UAVs.

"IRAN CLEARLY VIOLATED INTERNATIONAL LAW"

The statement, which noted that the attack from Iran was a dangerous escalation, said the attacks undermined diplomatic efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability. The statement called for Iran to immediately and unconditionally cease its attacks and highlighted that the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait's sovereignty clearly violated international law and the United Nations Charter.

It was stated that Kuwait reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its security, defend its territory and vital facilities against any attack or threat.

EXPLOSIONS IN IRAN'S BANDAR ABBAS CITY

Iranian state television reported that three explosion sounds were heard east of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country early in the morning.

The U.S. military announced that it conducted an airstrike on a military area in southern Iran, claiming it posed a threat to U.S. forces and commercial maritime traffic in the region.

Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it targeted the U.S. airbase in the region in response to the attack on Bandar Abbas, while Kuwait stated that it was subjected to missile and drone attacks.
