The tension between the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and Haymana Mayor Levent Koc, which has been ongoing for some time over alleged mobbing, resurfaced after banners hung by metropolitan municipality teams in the district were removed by Haymana municipality police teams at midnight.
While allegations of mobbing by Mansur Yavaş and his team against CHP's Haymana Mayor Levent Koç continue to be discussed in Ankara and Haymana circles, banners highlighting some services provided in the district by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality were hung in front of the Family Life Center.
ABB HUNG, HAYMANA MAYOR MADE A POST
The banners featured statements indicating that various services brought to Haymana were implemented by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Following these developments, it drew attention that Haymana Mayor Levent Koç made posts on his social media account regarding the services and projects carried out by the Haymana Municipality. These posts were interpreted as a response to the message given by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
REMOVED BY HAYMANA MUNICIPALITY POLICE TEAMS
Meanwhile, the banners hung by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality were removed late at night by teams from the Haymana Municipality Police Directorate. According to information obtained, action was taken within the scope of Article 42 of the Misdemeanor Law No. 5326 on the grounds that the banners were hung without obtaining the necessary permits.
While these developments have reignited discussions about the political tension between Haymana and the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, the issue remains on the agenda of district and Ankara politics.
