The purebred named Bay Nalçakan, owned by Emrah Nalçakan and ridden by jockey Halis Karataş, won the 100th Gazi Race in horse racing.
Breaths were held for the Gazi Race, the pride of Turkish horsemanship. This prestigious race, organized every year in memory of the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, took place at the Veliefendi Hippodrome.
22 THOROUGHBREDS PARTICIPATED
The 100th running of the Gazi Race, the derby of Turkish horse racing held since 1927 in the name of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was conducted. The race was broadcast live on Kanal D and Spor Smart. 22 thoroughbreds participated in the race, which is run over a 2,400-meter turf track, a distance that 3-year-old English thoroughbred colts can only run once in their racing careers.
