In Nevşehir, two cars collided head-on due to a driver allegedly under the influence making a faulty overtaking maneuver. One person died, and five people, including a child, were injured in the accident.
In a traffic accident in Nevşehir, where a car allegedly driven by a drunk driver collided head-on with another vehicle coming from the opposite lane, 1 person lost their life, and 5 people, including 1 child, were injured.
HEAD-ON COLLISION
The accident occurred at the entrance of Alacaşar village, affiliated with the city center. According to information obtained, the car with license plate 50 AEU 699, allegedly driven by Hüseyin A. who was claimed to be drunk, collided head-on with a car with license plate 06 EE 9123 driven by Derviş Küçüktüfekçi while attempting to overtake the vehicle in front of it.
THEY LOST THEIR LIVES
Upon notification from drivers who witnessed the accident, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The drivers, trapped in the vehicles that were reduced to scrap due to the impact, were extracted from their positions as a result of the fire brigade's efforts and handed over to medical teams.
The injured drivers and a total of 5 injured individuals, including 1 child from the vehicles, were taken to Nevşehir State Hospital by ambulances after initial on-site treatment. The car driver Derviş Küçüktüfekçi, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, could not be saved despite all interventions by doctors and lost his life.
Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
