In the Edremit district of Balıkesir, two people lost their lives and three were seriously injured as a result of a collision between two cars.
In the Edremit district of Balıkesir, a car with license plate 10 AUZ 271 driven by Murat Çakır collided with a car with license plate 06 CFL 774 driven by Osman E. (67) at the Ayvalıburun Mosque Junction in Narlı Neighborhood. Upon the report of the accident by bystanders, numerous health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
THEY DIED AT THE SCENE
Health teams determined that the driver Çakır (36) and Fatih Enes Memiş (29), who was in the same vehicle, lost their lives at the scene. In the accident, Hüseyin D (31), driver Osman E., and his wife Sariye E. (68), who were in both vehicles, were seriously injured.
INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
The 3 injured individuals, rescued by fire crews from where they were trapped, were taken to hospitals in the district by ambulance. The bodies were taken to the Edremit State Hospital morgue after the prosecutor's investigation. Following the accident, traffic was controlled.
