The singer, stating that he became acquainted with Christianity at an age when he was not yet of legal age, clarified his words.
“THE FIRST PROPHET I KNEW WAS JESUS CHRIST”
Recalling that he spent his childhood years in Germany, Bayhan said:
“My childhood passed in Germany, and I stayed in a child welfare institution. At an age when I was not yet of legal age, the first religion I learned was Christianity.
The first prophet I knew was Jesus Christ. I still love Jesus Christ very much.”

Denying the claims that he had converted, Bayhan said, “My religion is Islam.” The singer, stating that after coming from Germany to Turkey he lived with his paternal aunt in Eskişehir, said that he was 11-12 years old at that time.
