An electricity pole fell into the garden of a detached house in Gümüşhane. While no one was injured in the incident, which caused fear and panic, neighborhood residents rebelled against the incident, stating that they had complained about the situation before.

The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Çamlıca Neighborhood in central Gümüşhane. According to the information obtained, with the effect of rain and storm, the wooden electricity pole fell into the garden of the detached house belonging to Havva Doğru (80).

Havva Doğru, who was learned to be caring for her disabled daughter at home, experienced great fear and panic due to the incident. While no one died or was injured in the incident, the same pole falling for the second time within a year caused the reaction of neighborhood residents. Citizens demanded that measures be taken to prevent a similar incident from happening.

IF IT HAD FALLEN ON ME, WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO MY SICK CHILD?

Havva Doğru, 80, the owner of the house where the electricity pole fell, said, "We said find a solution to this now, they did not. I am sick here, I took my medicine and was going to lie down, I was startled by the noise. I looked with a small flashlight to see if the pole had fallen again. Then I shouted to my neighbors. I forgot their names from fear. I constantly walk in this garden, I sit where the pole fell. What if it had fallen on me, what would have happened to my sick child?" she said.

THEY PLANTED THE SAME POLE IN THE SAME PLACE AGAIN

Ayşe Doludizgin, who said that her mother and her disabled sister live in the same house and that they had a narrow escape from a great danger, said, "The electricity pole fell on our house. This is happening for the second time. They cut the base of the same pole and planted it in the same place again. Ten days ago our headman reported it to the relevant authorities. But what was necessary was not done. This electricity is not like anything else. I have a disabled sister, 55 years old; it fell right in front of her room. If it had fallen a little further, it would have entered the room. I am a plaintiff and complainant," she stated.

While the electricity was cut off in the neighborhood as a precaution, work was started to remove the fallen pole.
