A bear that appeared in front of a moving vehicle in the Duroğlu Tunnel on the Dereli-Giresun highway continued running inside the tunnel for a while. As the driver slowed down and proceeded cautiously, the bear was seen staying in front of the vehicle throughout the tunnel.

The bear, which continued running until the tunnel exit, then disappeared into the wooded area on the roadside. The curious moments were captured on a mobile phone camera by the citizens inside the vehicle. The footage shows the bear running in a panic inside the tunnel.
Meanwhile, it was reported that bears have been increasingly venturing into residential areas in the region in recent days. It was noted that there has been a rise in bear attacks targeting beehives, especially in rural neighborhoods, and it was learned that some small livestock have also been killed due to bear attacks. Citizens stated that drivers traveling in rural areas, particularly at night, should be cautious.
