Belçim Bilgin, Kanal D's beloved series 'Annem Ankara' has joined the cast and made statements regarding her role in the show. Bilgin, who will meet the audience in the new episode as the character 'Sevinç', said, "I feel like I am returning to the screen as part of a very special project. It is wonderful to be involved in such a touching project with psychological depth."

'I AM A NATIVE ANKARAN'
Bilgin, who said, "I feel that I am returning to the screen in a very special project," added, "It is wonderful to be part of a project that is so touching, with psychological depth where every character is addressed in many aspects, after such a long time. Being a native Ankaran, my mother being from Ankara, having spent my childhood there, my grandfather's name being Hasan (Çelik), and the fact that the character breakdown came to me on the day my grandfather passed away makes the project even more special. My grandfather was also a significant civil engineer. It felt as if it was metaphorically paying homage to his story from another place."
'WE REALLY NEED A HUMAN STORY'
Bilgin, who stated that being part of a true story adapted by Başak Angigün brings her great responsibility, said, "I am passionate about such deep stories. Başak has created an extraordinary story. I think we really need a story that is this touching, this naive, and this human."
'IT DOESN'T RESEMBLE ANY CHARACTER I'VE PLAYED BEFORE'
Bilgin described her character with the following words:
A character that does not resemble any character I have played before. Playing a powerful and strong woman who takes a tough stance on life will open completely different doors within me. In fact, I feel this, and it is very enjoyable.
