After receiving the news of his 4-year-old son's death from falling off a sofa bed in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş, the father suffered a nervous breakdown and left the hospital, then died in an accident when his car plunged from a bridge into a creek. Father and son were laid to rest side by side on their final journey.
Bertuğ Yiğit Karaca, son of Habibe-Fetullah Karaca couple living in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş, fell headfirst from a sofa bed while playing on May 13.
LITTLE BERTUĞ COULD NOT BE SAVED
Bertuğ was taken to Andırın State Hospital, and when fluid accumulation in his brain was detected, he was referred to KSÜ Health Application and Research Hospital. He was admitted to intensive care there and passed away on the evening of May 15.
SUFFERED A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, LEFT THE HOSPITAL, AND PLUNGED FROM A BRIDGE INTO A STREAM
Fetullah Karaca suffered a nervous breakdown upon hearing the news of his son's death. He left the hospital without telling his family, and no further news was received from Karaca. Following the family's report, police and gendarmerie teams launched a search for Fetullah Karaca. The teams found Fetullah Karaca dead in his car, 46 N 2987, at Geçit Stream in Yeniyapan Neighborhood, Onikişubat district. Investigation revealed that the car had plunged from a bridge into the stream.
THEY WERE BURIED SIDE BY SIDE
After the autopsy procedures, the bodies of Fetullah Karaca and his son Bertuğ Yiğit Karaca were handed over to their relatives and brought to the Yeşilyurt Neighborhood Cemetery in Andırın. Following separate funeral prayers held there, the father and son were buried side by side.
