U.S. President Joe Biden left the door open regarding the possibility of an attack on Iranian oil facilities by Israel, stating, "We are discussing this right now," but he said he does not expect an attack today. BIDEN: WE ARE ADVISING ISRAELBefore departing for the state of Florida, President Biden spoke to reporters as he left the White House to evaluate the agenda. In response to a question, "Do you support Israel attacking Iran's oil facilities?" Biden replied, "We are discussing this right now." When asked, "Will you allow Israel to respond to Iran?" Biden said, "First of all, we do not allow Israel; we advise them. Nothing will happen today. We will talk about this later." OIL PRICES INCREASED BY MORE THAN 4%Following President Biden's statements, the rise in oil prices drew attention. As of 19:50 Turkish time, the price of Brent crude oil increased by 4.68% to $77.36 per barrel. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose by 4.96% to $73.58 per barrel. Oil prices had risen due to concerns that ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, where most of the global oil reserves are located, could lead to disruptions in global supply.
