Gazi Albayrak, who bought a brand-new car from a dealer in Gaziantep for 1.5 million TL and took it for an expert inspection, learned that the vehicle's right rear door had been painted and repaired, and that the car sold as a 2026 model was actually a 2025 model. Demanding that his grievance be resolved, Albayrak gave the dealer until Friday, stating that if the issue is not resolved, he will crush the 1.5 million TL car with an excavator.
Gazi Albayrak, who bought a car as zero kilometer for 1.5 million TL from a dealership in Gaziantep, experienced the shock of his life when he took it for an expert inspection. Albayrak, who learned that the car he bought as new was painted and repaired, also stated that the vehicle delivered as a 2026 model turned out to be a 2025 model. Expressing his reaction if his grievance is not resolved, Albayrak gave the dealership until Friday and said he would crush the car with an excavator.
LIGHT REFLECTION RAISED SUSPICION
Gazi Albayrak, living in Gaziantep, purchased a zero-kilometer Egea brand car from an authorized dealership in July. Albayrak stated that he received a 30,000 TL discount due to a small scratch on the hood and signed a consent form for this, but a month later he noticed a major defect in his car. Sensing waves on the right rear door of his car parked in front of his workplace due to light reflection, Albayrak took the car for an expert inspection and learned that the door was damaged, painted, and repaired.
CAR SOLD AS 2026 MODEL TURNED OUT TO BE 2025 MODEL
After the expert inspection, Albayrak, who checked the documents in detail, encountered a second shock. He determined that the car, which he received as a "2026 model" in July 2026, was a 2025 model in the registration and document details. Stating that when he reported the situation to the dealership, he received the answer that the problem did not originate from them, Albayrak initiated a legal process through his lawyer.
"THERE ARE 3,600 PAGES OF DETAILS IN GPS RECORDS"
Albayrak, stating that he had a GPS tracking system installed on the car during the process, noted that there are 3,600 pages of movement records about the car's past. He claimed that the dealership, to whom he reported his grievance, instead of offering a solution, proposed an exchange in return for an additional payment of 150,000 TL.
"I WILL CRUSH IT WITH AN EXCAVATOR"
Gazi Albayrak, who reacted harshly to the situation and gave the dealership until Friday afternoon, addressed the authorities as follows: "I will not tolerate this injustice. I am giving them until Friday afternoon; let them come and inspect the car. After determining that the accident is not mine, if the problem is not resolved, I will crush this 1.5 million lira car with an excavator in front of everyone. I also advise all of Turkey not to accept delivery of a new car without having an expert inspection done."
