Furkan Alan, who got out of his car in Bursa to help a driver whose vehicle hit an electricity pole, lost his life after stepping on a broken high-voltage line. It was learned that the young man, who walked toward death while doing a good deed, had returned from his honeymoon on the day of the incident.
In the incident that occurred last night in the Düzbağlar area of Çepni neighborhood, Mudanya district, the car with license plate 16 AJF 701, driven by Onur Uslu, violently crashed into a roadside electricity pole after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
POLE FELL, HIGH VOLTAGE LINE BROKE
Due to the impact, the electricity pole collapsed, and the high voltage line supplying energy to the neighborhood and the region broke and scattered onto the road. At that exact moment, Furkan Alan, who was passing through the route in his car with license plate 16 BYU 207, noticed the accident and stopped his vehicle to help the injured driver.
ELECTROCUTED WHILE CALLING FOR HELP
Alan, who parked his car in a safe place, was running towards the injured person while calling 112 Emergency Call Center on his mobile phone to inform the teams. However, unable to notice the danger lying on the road in the darkness, the young man stepped on the broken power line and was electrocuted.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification from nearby citizens, numerous gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the accident site. In the initial check conducted by medical personnel at the scene, it was determined that the unfortunate young man had lost his life. Furkan Alan's lifeless body was taken to the Mudanya State Hospital morgue for autopsy procedures after investigations by gendarmerie teams and the prosecutor's office. The injured driver, Onur Uslu, was taken under treatment at the same hospital.
