The bodies of Gülşah, Muhammet Ali, and Belinay Sakar, siblings found washed ashore in Darıca, Kocaeli, were laid to rest at Gebze Balçık Cemetery after autopsies. Meanwhile, it was learned that Belinay would have celebrated her 15th birthday today had she not lost her life.
The bodies of siblings Gülşah (24), Muhammet Ali (17), and Belinay Sakar (15), found washed ashore on the coast in Kocaeli's Darıca district, have been laid to rest.
On August 20 at around 16:00, three bodies were found washed ashore at Kazım Karabekir Neighborhood, Darıca Beach. The bodies were recovered from the sea by teams called to the scene. The bodies were identified as belonging to siblings Gülşah Sakar, Muhammet Ali Sakar, and Belinay Sakar. The lifeless bodies of the siblings, who were clothed and showed no signs of assault or injury, were taken to Gebze Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy after examination. Following the incident, it was revealed that the other sibling, B.S. (21), who could not be reached, was at home.
SHE HAD WON LAW SCHOOL
It was learned that the siblings' parents were divorced, and they lived with their mother in the Karabekir neighborhood of the district, while their father was in Kars. It was also learned that Belinay and Muhammet Ali were high school students, and Gülşah Sakar had won a place in law school this year.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT: DROWNING
During the initial examinations conducted during the autopsy, it was reported that one of the siblings had bleeding in the ears, considered to be pressure-related, and traces of blood in the nose. It was reported that in the initial findings, the cause of death was assessed as drowning, and no knife or gunshot wounds indicating assault or struggle were found on their bodies.
THEIR LAST IMAGES WALKING TO THE SHORE
Security camera footage of the siblings walking to the shore has emerged. The footage shows the three siblings walking together towards the shore on Eskihükümet Street at 03:49. In the recording, Gülşah and Belinay Sakar are seen walking arm in arm, with Ali Sakar walking beside them.
THEY WERE SENT OFF ON THEIR FINAL JOURNEY
After the autopsy procedures, the bodies of the siblings, handed over to their mother Güler Saltan, were brought today to Eyüpoğlu Mosque in the Emek neighborhood of Darıca. Family relatives, acquaintances, and loved ones attended the funeral. After the noon prayer, the funeral prayer was held, and the siblings were laid to rest at Gebze Balçık Cemetery.
IT WAS BELINAY'S BIRTHDAY
Meanwhile, it was learned that today was the birthday of one of the siblings, Belinay Sakar, and she was laid to rest on her 15th birthday. It was also reported that the siblings' unnamed older sister had drowned at sea in Çeşme, Izmir, 10 years ago.
On the other hand, it was stated that the other sibling, B.S. (21), found alive at home after the incident, is mentally disabled.
