It has been announced that there are dead and injured in an armed attack carried out by a student at Debsirin Nonthaburi High School in Nonthaburi province, Thailand. According to initial information, at least 2 people, including a teacher, lost their lives, while 15 to 20 people were injured. Thailand was shaken today by a school attack. The incident occurred at a high school named Debsirin Nonthaburi School, located in the Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province, northwest of the capital Bangkok.
According to information reported by Reuters, it was determined that the person who carried out the armed attack was a student attending the school. Lieutenant Colonel Pasakorn Chaitawiwong from the Plai Bang Police Station stated that the death toll had not yet been confirmed in the early hours. In a report by Channel News Asia, citing Reuters, it was stated that at least 10 students were injured.
The Thai press reported that the incident occurred at approximately 10:00 local time. Following the attack, police, health, and rescue teams were dispatched to the school.

IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE ATTACKER WAS A STUDENT
The police determined that the person who carried out the attack was one of the school's students. Thailand-based Bright TV reported that the attacker was a male student studying at the 9th-grade level.
Trairong Piwpan, spokesman for the Royal Thai Police, also confirmed to the Associated Press that an armed attack had occurred at Debsirin Nonthaburi School. In its initial statement, the police stated that multiple people were injured, while reports were published that the attacker remained in the school building for a while.
SPECIAL POLICE UNITS ENTERED THE SCHOOL
Following the attack, extensive security measures were taken around the school. The Thai press reported that the Arintharat 26 special operations unit and Regional 1 police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Police, health teams, and rescue workers began efforts to evacuate the students and teachers at the school. Authorities warned nearby citizens to stay away from the school area.

In the following hours, reports were published in the Thai press that the attacker had also died. Daily News Thailand reported that the attacker, who remained in the school building, subsequently shot himself and died.
