THEY OPENED FIRE ON THOSE SITTING IN THE CAFE
The incident occurred around 22:00 at a cafe located on Yürüyüş Yolu 49th Street, Yenişehir Neighborhood, Merkezefendi district.
According to the claim, a dispute broke out between two groups during the daytime hours over a debt issue. After one of the parties saw the people from the opposing group sitting in the cafe, an armed attack was carried out.
The suspects, who arrived at the area in a commercial vehicle, opened fire successively towards the people in the cafe.
A FIGHT BROKE OUT
When the opposing side in the cafe responded with gunfire to the attack, a clash broke out in the area. While the gunfire caused great panic in the vicinity, the incident quickly turned into a major commotion.
Some of the suspects who carried out the attack fled the scene in the commercial vehicle they had arrived in.
2 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Upon the notification of citizens in the area, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
According to initial assessments, 2 people lost their lives in the armed attack, and 4 people were injured, one of them seriously. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances after the medical teams provided first aid at the scene.

After the incident, the area was cordoned off, and the relatives of the injured and the deceased, who arrived at the scene upon receiving the sad news, experienced great grief.
Police teams made intense efforts to calm the families gathered at the scene. Riot police units were also assigned around the scene and the hospitals where the injured were taken, in an area where tense moments were experienced from time to time.
